The following is drawn from 'Spiral Dynamics', based on the work of Professor Clare Graves which was further developed by Don Beck PhD and Christopher Cowan.  However, this page is intended to be illustrative only.  It does not accurately reflect either Spiral Dynamics or the quadrants of integral theory.  The purpose here is to indicate that human nature is not fixed; that human beings evolve or develop through at least eight major levels of consciousness.  Everybody begins at the lowest level and moves on at least one level beyond that.
